Justin Madugu makes changes to Super Falcons XI to face South Africa in crucial clash
The Super Falcons are set to face South Africa in a crucial World Cup qualifying encounter, with the 10-time African champions looking to bounce back from their previous defeat to Cameroon, which ended their 2026 Women's African Cup of Nations Campaign
The Super Falcons suffered a setback in their previous game, but coach Justin Madugu has responded by making attacking changes to his starting XI for the clash against the reigning African champions.
AdemolaSports.com understands that Madugu has opted for a more experienced attacking setup, with the experienced trio of Francisca Ordega, Asisat Oshoala and Uchenna Kanu leading the line.
Ordega and Oshoala come into the starting XI after being left out of the previous lineup, while Kanu also gets the nod ahead of Rinsola Babajide who started against Cameroon
Rasheedat Ajibade retains her place in the starting XI and will once again wear the captain's armband, with Jennifer Echegini also keeping her spot in midfield.
Deborah Abiodun is expected to provide the defensive cover from midfield, while Ajibade and Echegini will be tasked with driving the Falcons forward and creating opportunities for the attacking trio.
In defence, Shukurat Oladipo and Michelle Alozie retain their places at full-back, with the experienced Osinachi Ohale partnering Tosin Demehin at the heart of the defence.
Chiamaka Nnadozie also retains her place in goal for the Super Falcons.
The changes see Christy Ucheibe, Rinsola Babajide and Gift Monday drop out of the starting XI that featured in the previous game against Cameroon
