He credited the team’s coach for believing in his abilities and giving him the confidence to deliver when it mattered most. The shot-stopper also praised his teammates for converting their penalties, emphasizing that their composure was crucial to securing qualification.

“One thing about the knockout stage is that you always have to be prepared. We knew Ivory Coast would be a difficult opponent, so we worked hard in training, knowing the match could end in a penalty shootout,” he said.
The goalkeeper further thanked the management for the opportunity and called on Nigerians to continue supporting and praying for the team ahead of the final.
“We know we are going to come home with the trophy,” he added confidently.
