Exclusive: Full List: Golden Eaglets 67 Invited Players as Camp Opens for 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship

The Golden Eaglets officially opened camp today as preparations got underway for the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship in Burkina Faso.

The invited players reported to camp on Wednesday to begin training under the coaching crew, with the exercise marking the first phase of Nigeria’s build-up to the regional tournament.

A total of 67 players from clubs and academies across the country have been invited to compete for places in the final squad. The camp will provide the technical crew with an opportunity to assess the players’ fitness, quality, and readiness ahead of the championship.

The invited squad comprises five goalkeepers, 24 defenders, 20 midfielders, and 18 forwards, with several standout talents from grassroots academies expected to stake their claim for a place in the team.

The WAFU B U-17 Championship serves as an important platform for the Golden Eaglets as they aim to secure regional success and continue Nigeria’s proud tradition in youth football.
