FULL CAMP! Super Falcons Complete 25-Player Squad in Casablanca Ahead of WAFCON 2026
The Super Falcons are officially at full strength in Casablanca.
Monday Gift and Deborah Abiodun have arrived, bringing the entire 25-player squad into camp ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
On Thursday evening, Nigeria rounded off their pre-tournament preparations with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tanzania in a closed-door friendly at the Lenoria Sports Complex.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade opened the scoring in the 15th minute, while substitute Esther Okoronkwo produced a late winner in the 89th minute to seal the result.
The win provides a timely confidence boost as the nine-time African champions shift focus to their opening Group C fixture against Malawi on Tuesday, 28 July at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
Head coach Justine Madugu now has his full complement of players available as the team prepares to relocate to Rabat this weekend and begin the defence of their continental title.

Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has been ruled out for the rest of the 2026 campaign following a severe injury layoff confirmed by AFC Toronto. Her injury follows midfielder Deborah Abiodun's season-ending hip injury, depriving the Super Falcons of two key starters as they begin their rebuilding phase.

Augustine Eguavoen will lead the Super Falcons on an interim basis for their 2028 Olympic qualifying ties against Comoros, assisted by Christopher Danjuma, Olatunji Baruwa and Ayisat Yusuf. Both legs will be played at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, on 9 and 13 October 2026, as Nigeria begins a four-round knockout path for one of Africa’s two Los Angeles tickets.
