Doosuur Atume: The Edo Queens Goal Machine Who Just Won the WAFU-B Golden Boot
Doosuur Anastasia Atume scored five goals to finish as the top scorer of the 2026 WAFU-B qualifiers, adding another Golden Boot after her 13-goal NWFL campaign.

Doosuur Anastasia Atume has had a year to remember.
After finishing the 2025/26 NWFL Premiership season as joint top scorer with 13 goals, the Edo Queens forward has now finished as the top scorer of the 2026 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
And she delivered when it mattered most.

Five goals in WAFU-B
Atume scored twice in Edo Queens’ opening 7–0 victory over AS GNN, before scoring against Ampem Darkoa in their 2–1 group-stage defeat.
She then opened the scoring in the 5–1 semi-final victory over USFA, taking her tournament tally to four goals and putting herself at the top of the Golden Boot race.
But she was not finished.
In the final against Ampem Darkoa, Atume scored in the fourth minute to bring Edo Queens level after the Ghanaian champions had taken an early lead.
Edo Queens eventually drew 2–2 and won 4–1 on penalties, securing the WAFU-B title and qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Atume finished the tournament with five goals, earning the Top Scorer award.

Another Golden Boot for Atume
The WAFU-B award adds to the Golden Boot she shared in the 2025/26 NWFL Premiership after scoring 13 goals.
Her latest achievement underlines her importance to an Edo Queens side that has now secured another opportunity to compete on Africa’s biggest women’s club football stage.
For Atume, the message is simple: keep scoring.
And with Edo Queens heading to the CAF Women’s Champions League, the Nigerian forward will have another chance to test her goalscoring ability against the continent’s best.
