Prince Udofia, Niyi Busari Get Olympic Eagles’ Roles Ahead of DR Congo Clash
NFF appoints Prince Sunday Udofia as Team Coordinator and sports journalist Niyi Busari as Media Officer ahead of the Olympic Eagles’ U23 AFCON qualifying tie against DR Congo.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Prince Sunday Udofia as Team Coordinator of the U23 men’s national team, the Olympic Eagles, with sports journalist Niyi Busari named as the team’s Media Officer.
The appointments come as the Olympic Eagles prepare for their two-legged qualifying fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the race for a place at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Udofia Returns to National Team Role
Udofia brings previous national team experience to the position, having served as Team Coordinator of the Golden Eaglets when Nigeria successfully defended their FIFA U17 World Cup title in Chile in 2015.
Nigeria defeated Mali 2-0 in the final to win the tournament for a record fifth time, with the Golden Eaglets becoming champions under the guidance of coach Emmanuel Amuneke.

His appointment to the Olympic Eagles provides the team with an official who has previously worked within Nigeria’s national team structure.
Busari Named Media Officer
The NFF has also appointed Niyi Busari, an established sports journalist and owner of the online publication BSN Sports, as Media Officer of the U23 national team.
Busari will be responsible for the team’s media duties as the Olympic Eagles prepare for their upcoming international assignment.
Both officials are expected to join the squad when the team resumes camp in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, 25 October.
Olympic Eagles Prepare for DR Congo
The appointments come ahead of a crucial two-legged qualifying tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Nigeria will travel to Lubumbashi for the first leg at the TP Mazembe Stadium on Friday, 13 November, before hosting DR Congo in the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo on Tuesday, 17 November.
The Olympic Eagles will need a strong performance across both legs to advance in the qualifying campaign, with the aggregate result determining which team progresses.
