Spain defeat Czech Republic 3-0 to win the inaugural title as Russia score 69 goals and Nigeria finish 76th

Spain have been crowned champions of the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival after defeating the Czech Republic 3-0 in the final in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Spain finished top of the final standings with 28 points from 10 matches, recording nine wins and one draw without a defeat. They scored 42 goals and conceded nine, ending the competition with a goal difference of +33.
The Czech Republic claimed the silver medal after finishing second with 25 points, while Greece secured third place with the same number of points. Russia finished 19th overall but stood out statistically, scoring a tournament-high 69 goals and recording the best goal difference at +59.
Nigeria's Future Eagles finished 76th among the 189 teams in the final standings after competing in the group stage and subsequent classification matches.
Spain Beat Czech Republic to Win Inaugural Title
Spain capped their campaign with a 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic in the final to claim the first title of the competition.
The champions combined attacking output with consistent results, scoring 42 goals and conceding nine across their 10 matches. Their record of nine wins and one draw gave them 28 points, three more than the Czech Republic.
The Czech side finished second with 52 goals scored and 12 conceded, producing a +40 goal difference. Greece took third place with 25 points, 39 goals scored and a +22 goal difference.
Brazil placed fifth with 26 points after recording eight wins and two draws. They scored 45 goals and conceded nine, finishing the competition unbeaten.
Spain, Brazil and Peru Finish Unbeaten
Spain, Brazil and Peru were the only three teams in the final standings to complete the tournament without a defeat.
Spain finished as champions with nine wins and one draw. Brazil recorded eight wins and two draws to finish fifth, while Peru registered six wins and four draws to place 18th.
Peru's record was particularly notable for its consistency. They scored 30 goals, conceded 11 and accumulated 22 points without losing any of their 10 matches.
The three teams reached different final positions, but their records showed that each avoided defeat throughout the competition.
Russia Score 69 Goals and Record Highest Goal Difference
Russia were the tournament's leading scorers, finding the net 69 times in 10 matches.
Despite finishing 19th overall, Russia recorded eight wins, one draw and one defeat. Their 69 goals and 10 goals conceded gave them a goal difference of +59, the highest in the final standings.

Poland had the next-highest goal difference at +52. They scored 59 goals and conceded seven, finishing 11th with 24 points.
Costa Rica also recorded a strong attacking return, scoring 60 goals and conceding 26 to finish 47th with 18 points and a +34 goal difference.
Senegal scored 47 goals, while Guinea and several other teams also recorded high attacking totals. The overall figures demonstrate that finishing position and goals scored did not always correspond directly, particularly across the competition's different tiers.
Belarus Record the Fewest Goals Conceded
Belarus finished 65th overall but recorded one of the tournament's strongest defensive returns.
They conceded just six goals in 10 matches, the lowest total in the final standings. Belarus scored 54 goals, recorded a +48 goal difference and collected 25 points.
Poland were the next-best team in terms of goals conceded, allowing seven, while Uruguay and Ivory Coast each conceded eight.
Spain and Brazil both conceded nine goals, while Russia conceded 10.
Biggest Victory in the Competition
The inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup produced several heavy scorelines, with three results emerging as the biggest victories of the tournament. Belarus and Poland both recorded 20-0 wins, while Canada came close with a 20-1 victory:
Belarus 20-0 Papua New Guinea
Poland 20-0 São Tomé and Príncipe
Canada 20-1 American Samoa
American Samoa Concede 96 Goals
American Samoa endured the most difficult defensive campaign in the standings, conceding 96 goals in nine matches.
They scored once, lost all nine games and finished 184th with zero points and a goal difference of -95.
The U.S. Virgin Islands finished bottom of the overall standings in 189th place. They lost all eight of their matches, scoring two goals and conceding 48 for a goal difference of -46. They also finished without a point.
Although these records show the difficulties faced by both teams, the final positions reflect their results across the competition and its classification structure.
Nigeria's Future Eagles Finish 76th
Nigeria finished 76th overall with 12 points from 10 matches. The final standings record two wins, six draws and two defeats, with 26 goals scored and 22 conceded for a +4 goal difference.
Here are their results:
Nigeria 3-3 South Sudan
Nigeria 2-2 Jordan
Nigeria 3-3 Gambia
Nigeria 2-1 Cyprus
Nigeria 1-1 Pakistan
Nigeria 7-0 New Caledonia
Nigeria 3-6 Benin
Nigeria 1-1 (4-3 pens) Rwanda
Nigeria 3-3 (2-3 pens) Chile
Nigeria 1-2 Panama
The Future Eagles began their Group AD campaign with a series of draws before securing a 2-1 win over Cyprus. They then competed in Tier C, where they recorded a 7-0 win over New Caledonia before exiting the knockout rounds.

Their final position of 76th placed them in the middle portion of the overall standings. The campaign featured a high number of draws, with the final record showing six stalemates in 10 matches.
For Nigeria, the experience offered opportunities to compete against international opposition and test young players in a tournament environment. The next challenge will be to turn that exposure into further development as the players progress through the national youth football pathway.
