The Flamingos arrived in Yamoussoukro on Monday ahead of their opening fixture. Nigeria were initially scheduled to face Ghana in their first match of the tournament. However, following the withdrawal of Benin Republic from the competition, the fixture schedule was adjusted and Niger Republic will now provide the opposition for the Flamingos' opening game.
The much-anticipated meeting between Nigeria and Ghana will now take place later in the tournament, with the two sides scheduled to face each other on Saturday.

Flamingos preparing for FIFA U17 Women's World Cup
The WAFU B U17 Girls Cup represents an important preparation opportunity for Nigeria ahead of the 2026 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in Morocco.
Nigeria and Ghana are among the WAFU-B teams representing Africa at this year's FIFA U17 Women's World Cup. Kenya and Zambia are the other two African representatives.
The FIFA U17 Women's World Cup will be held in Morocco from October 17 to November 8, 2026.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B, where they will face North Korea, Puerto Rico and Poland.
Ghana are in Group C alongside Canada, Brazil and Norway.
With the World Cup approaching, the WAFU B tournament gives coach Busari and his players an opportunity to test the squad against regional opposition and continue preparations for the global tournament.

WAFU B U17 Girls Cup fixtures
Following the change to the schedule, Nigeria will face Niger Republic in their opening game on Wednesday.
Other matches in the group stage include Côte d'Ivoire against Togo and Ghana against Burkina Faso on Tuesday.
On Friday, Togo will face Niger Republic while Burkina Faso will take on hosts Côte d'Ivoire.
The Flamingos will then face Ghana on Saturday in what is expected to be one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament.
