“I’m Happy With What I Saw” Eric Chelle Reacts to Flying Eagles’ Win

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle expressed his satisfaction with the Flying Eagles performance following their 3–0 victory over Togo in the ongoing WAFU B U-20 Championship.

According to Chelle, Nigeria struggled in the first half as Togo dominated possession and made life difficult for the Flying Eagles.

However, he praised the team’s response after the break, noting that the players applied more pressure and won the ball higher up the pitch.

“The second half was much better.

The boys put a lot of pressure on Togo, won the ball back in dangerous areas and created many scoring opportunities, which resulted in the three goals,” Chelle said.

The Super Eagles coach added that he was pleased with the performance and was happy to be present to support the team, expressing his hope of attending their next game.

Chelle also reiterated the importance of the Under-17 and Under-20 national teams in Nigeria’s football development project, stressing that his role includes scouting and monitoring young talents before they move abroad.

Having previously watched the Flying Eagles train in Abuja, Chelle described himself as one of the team’s biggest supporters and congratulated the players on their impressive victory.
