The seven-time African champions opened their campaign with an impressive 4-2 victory over Ghana.
Although they were unable to keep a clean sheet, the Flying Eagles displayed their attacking quality, with Abdulmuiz Adeleke scoring twice to earn the Man of the Match award.
Nigeria and Togo have developed a competitive regional rivalry in the WAFU B U-20 Championship, but the Flying Eagles head into Thursday’s encounter as the two-time defending champions and favourites.
