Abdulmuiz Adeleke: My Priority Is Helping Nigeria Win, Not the Golden Boot

Flying Eagles striker Abdulmuiz Adeleke says representing Nigeria is a dream come true and insists his priority remains helping the team win the tournament rather than chasing individual honours.
Speaking after scoring in consecutive matches at the WAFU B U-20 Championship, Adeleke expressed his delight at making an impact for the Flying Eagles.

“It’s a great feeling. Playing for Nigeria and representing my country is something huge for me. I’m just starting my career, so this experience means a lot. I believe I still have more to offer both my country and my team.”
The forward, who has found the net in back-to-back games, was asked whether he was targeting the Golden Boot award.
Adeleke made it clear that individual accolades are secondary to the team’s objectives.
“Honestly, I didn’t come into the tournament thinking about winning the Golden Boot. My main goal is to help my team become champions and qualify. As a striker, my responsibility is to do my job, score goals when the opportunities come, and contribute to the team’s success.”
Adeleke has been one of Nigeria’s standout performers at the tournament, with his goals playing a crucial role in the Flying Eagles’ impressive campaign as they continue their pursuit of another WAFU B U-20 title.
